| General: | My business is based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and is currently not available to those who aren't local. Eventually, I'd like to make it available across Canada. I will warn everyone, though, I need plenty of notice for orders. |
| Interests: | I started sewing when I was very young. I remember having a needle and thread in my hand when I was five years old. When I was in my late teens, early 20's I got very frustrated at never being able to find just the right outfit in the stores. Either I liked something that just didn't fit my body type, or my style preferences weren't being met. I started making my own clothes. A shirt here, a skirt there. Then my neighbor gave my phone number to a friend of hers. The friend was getting married and couldn't find the IT dress in any of the stores. She found a dress pattern she absolutely loved, but didn't know anyone who sewed. I'd like to say the rest is history, but that isn't quite true. For years, I was quite content to sew for myself and my family. I didn't want to turn this pleasurable hobby into a career. But more and more freinds came to me, and more and more friends told me I should turn my gift into a business. After 4 years of arguing with all of them, I finally stopped arguing. And this is where I can say the rest is history. |
